DON'T be Careful, you'll Hurt Yourself!! Relishing Risky Play

Our society is becoming increasingly risk averse and overprotective about children’s safety. Many of our outdoor playgrounds no longer challenge children. This keynote will explore the importance of risk taking for children and the ways in which we might better manage and enhance this in early childhood settings. Wendy will also share some exciting and challenging outdoor developments occurring in early childhood settings beyond our shores.
