In this project, the focus is centre improvement and
innovation. It is our goal to support centres to
become lead centres centres that
become known for their excellence in aspects of learning
and teaching.
In the past, many professional development planning
processes have started from the needs of teaching staff;
in this project the needs of the centre/service are the starting point for professional development
planning.
Writer Michael Fullan* suggests
that the impact of professional development depends
on a combination of opportunity and motivation
to learn.
