Poutiria te Aroha
“Tamaiti wāwāhi tahā – aratakina ki te puna aroha”
Supporting and raising our tamariki in aroha
Presented by Katarina Mataira, Poutiria te Aroha
Reo o te ngākau – A parenting programme drawing on the wisdom of te ao Māori in alignment with the philosophy and strategies of parenting with nonviolence. A space to learn and to kōrero with others about parenting.
No-one told you it was going to be this hard? Where’s the manual? Whats the secret? Will my kids be OK?
Parenting with nonviolence
Presented by Isabel Crawforth & Jackie Gillett, Te Mauri Tau
Jackie and Isabel will be co-facilitating a workshop based on a philosophy of parenting developed by Ruth Beaglehole, who has been an advocate for children for over 50 years. We will explore what it means to parent well - how we can notice family patterns and consider a parenting paradigm that is based on healthy, loving and connected relationships.
Suitable for anyone who spends time with children of any age.
I long for the day when we would greet each other and be able to say with the deepest of hearts “The children are well”.
- Ruth Beaglehole
